About Field and Venue
Field and Venue helps you find UK fields, farms, barns and outdoor venues for an event. You can compare places by location, save a shortlist and keep it to hand while you plan.
Camping appears where a place also advertises wedding, event or private hire. A campsite accepting overnight guests does not, by itself, mean you can hire it for a party or festival.
How we choose places
We researched 431 places, beginning with Google Maps and camping and wedding directories. The public directory contains 303 places with venue photographs whose researched information indicates wedding, event or private hire. Places waiting for suitable photographs stay in our research records. The listing is a starting point for a conversation with the owner, rather than permission for every kind of event.
A wedding venue may have different rules for a public festival, and private hire may cover only part of a site. Owners can tell us which events they would consider through the owner form.
What has been checked
303 directory entries have a description based on a check of the business's own website, beginning on 2 October 2026. 224 have additional researched details with links to the source and the date each fact was checked. Those dates describe our research, not a visit or an inspection.
Website research and owner confirmation are different. Unless a page explicitly says otherwise, the information has not been confirmed by the owner on Field and Venue. A quoted price may belong to a particular package or season; availability, inclusions and the final price need checking before booking.
Before committing, ask about your event type, guest numbers, music and finish times, access, power, water, toilets and any overnight stays. A map pin helps you locate a venue but does not identify the exact area available to hire.
How Best match sorts venues
Lists start in Best match order. If you give a postcode, closer venues come first in bands: within 15 miles, then 30, 60 and 100 miles, then further away. Inside each band, venues with fuller profiles come first: photographs, a published price, when they can be hired, a music finish time, facilities, practical details for hirers and a verified owner.
Best match is never for sale. A venue’s plan with us makes no difference to where it appears.
Separately, a few spots at the top of a list can be paid placements: at most one Exclusive sponsor and three Featured venues. They appear only when they suit your search (within 60 miles of your postcode, matching your choices, with a reasonably complete page), they take turns from day to day, and each one is labelled on its card. A venue in one of those spots is not repeated further down. You can switch to Nearest or A to Z at any time; those orders have no paid spots.
Photos and corrections
Venue photographs are drawn from the business's own public website. A venue stays in our research records until suitable photographs are available. Our bell tent photographs are from The Glamping Group's work and do not imply that a venue includes those tents.
These businesses did not pay for a researched listing; only venues labelled Featured or Exclusive sponsor have paid for their position. Inclusion does not imply that they have joined the platform or endorsed it. If you represent a venue, use the owner form to identify your place and request a draft. Each venue page also explains how to request removal.
Who runs it
The Glamping Group Ltd runs Field and Venue. We hire out bell tents for weddings, festivals and private events as The Glamping Group. Venue pages include a separate link to our tent quote form, so you can see when we are recommending our own service.
The directory covers England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Bookings are agreed with the venue; saving a place here does not reserve it.
